    IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR THE FESTIVAL?

    Ultra South Africa is strictly over 18’s. Purchase and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products will be strictly controlled at all times. People will require ID, a valid driver’s license or passports as proof of age, which will be checked when entering the event as well as at any time on venue grounds.

    WHAT CAN'T I BRING INTO THE FESTIVAL?

    The organizers reserve the right to refuse admission to the festival site at any time.  Also, any bags brought into the event WILL be searched upon entry.
    The following items are prohibited and will not be allowed into the venue.

    • Weapons, explosives, firearms, glass bottles, aluminum cans, hazardous and breakable materials
    • Fireworks, lasers, flashlights and anything else that can interfere with the artists
    • Professional DSLR, recording devices, video equipment that have not been pre-approved
    • At the artists’ request, all unauthorized recording will be prohibited. (Illegal filming and/or recording will result in legal actions.)
    • Illegal items will be confiscated at the door
    • Alcohol, food, bottles, cans, glass, animals, CamelPacks and sound systems may NOT be brought onto the festival site.
    • No camping gear of any kind will be allowed into the venue
    • Flags that are used to identify your group may be brought in, but discretion is advised when constructing or designing these items, as they may sometimes be considered dangerous.

    IS RE-ENTRY ALLOWED ONCE ON THE FESTIVAL PREMISES?

    WHAT DOES A CASHLESS FESTIVAL MEAN?

    Following on last year’s success, Ultra South Africa is once again going completely cashless (powered by Howler). This means that all your money will be loaded onto an Ultra South Africa wristband, which will be issued to you upon arrival. Only payments using the cashless Ultra SA wristbands are accepted for all bars, food & merchandise outlets.

    Please note:

    •  You can top up your cashless wristband with any value.  Leave your wallet at home and top up ONLINE before the festival. Online top ups close 24 hours before the gates open.  All online credits will be applied to your wristband at the point of entry.
    • Your cashless wristband can be loaded by cash or debit/credit card at any of the dedicated top-up areas
    • A R20 Refundable Deposit for the card will be levied against your initial purchase.
    • You can check your balance at bars, food stations and top-up stations.
    • There will be no refunds on site. Online Refunds only. R10 online refund fee.
    • Remember, you need to treat your wristband is like cash. If you lose your wristband you will need to purchase a new one and load up again.

    WILL I BE ABLE TO PURCHASE FOOD AND BEVERAGES AT THE FESTIVAL?

    A wide variety of food and beverages will be available for the duration of the event, supplied by various vendors at the festival.

    PLEASE NOTE: You may NOT bring your own food or beverages into the festival area.

    ARE THERE RESTROOM FACILITIES ON SITE AT THE FESTIVAL?

    Yes, there will be sufficient restrooms for both men and women on the festival grounds.

    Yes, both venues for the festival are wheelchair friendly and toilet facilities cater accordingly.

    Yes, however it’s strongly suggested that attendees come prepared to avoid any inconvenience or disappointment due to technical issues or queuing.

    PLEASE NOTE: BOOKING FEES APPLY TO ALL TICKETS

    TO ENSURE TICKET AUTHENTICITY, AS WELL AS FESTIVAL SECURITY –  EACH TICKET IS REGISTERED TO & DISPLAYS THE FESTIVAL ATTENDEE DETAILS.

    A BAR CODED TICKET (PRINTED OR CORRECTLY DISPLAYED ON YOUR PHONE) WILL NEED TO BE PRESENTED ALONG WITH IDENTIFICATION UPON ENTERING THE EVENT.

    WHAT IS INCLUDED IN VIP TICKETS?

    Ultra SA VIP ticket holders will receive express entry through the VIP entrance; an exclusive and elevated dance floor; seating area with a scenic view of the Ultra Main Stage, dance floor as well as private bars and toilet facilities.

    CAN I BUY TICKETS FOR FRIENDS?

    Yes, but please ensure you have your friend’s email address ready when purchasing tickets. Ticket orders will only be completed once every ticket holder’s details are complete, this ensures the authenticity of your tickets as well as improves the security of the festival.

    HOW TO BUY TICKETS OUTSIDE OF SOUTH AFRICA?

    If you are purchasing tickets from outside of South Africa or with international credit cards, please note that all International bookings can be done via the Ultra South Africa website.

    CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET TO A FRIEND?

    Yes, an online transfer facility are available. To transfer your ticket, please follow these steps :

    1. Log into your ultrasa.nutickets.co.za account. 
    2. Go to Tickets. Next to your ticket is a button that says “Action”. Select the “Transfer Option”
    3. Enter in the customer’s email address of whom the ticket is being transferred into.
    4. Enter in the Name & Surname of whom the ticket is being transferred into
    5. The Transfer is now complete. The old ticket will be invalidated and the new ticket will need to be registered in the new ticket holder. (They will receive an email to complete the validation

    WHAT IS THE TICKETS TRANSFER DEADLINE?

    Ticket transfers need to be completed 24 hours before the festival kicks off.

    HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY TICKETS?

    Via EFT, credit card or cash deposit at your bank.

    For EFT and Cash Deposits you will have 24 hours to make a payment before your ticket falls away. Don’t forget to print a proof of payment in case we need to track the payment and use the correct reference as provided.

    If you have not received your tickets within 72 hours of processing your payment please send your proof of payment to tickets@ultrasouthafrica.com for a follow up.

    A DUPLICATE PAYMENT WAS TAKEN ON MY CARD, WHAT DO I DO NOW?

    Duplicate payments have occurred, usually as a result of the buyer refreshing the payment page during the payment process. If this happens please email tickets@ultrasouthafrica.com with a copy of your bank statement showing both transactions and the refund will be processed

    WHAT HAPPENS IF I COMPLETED ALL THE TICKET PURCHASING STEPS BUT MY TRANSACTION WAS DECLINED?

    Your card may not be registered for 3D secure.

    3D secure provides an extra level of security during your online payment process to ensure that only you can use your card. Also know as Verified by Visa, SecureCard, MasterCard, SecureCode or Amex Safekey, It allows you to enter your previously selected One Time Pin/Password and notifies your bank of the online purchase.

    WHY IS MY CREDIT CARD EXPIRY DATE NOT BEING ACCEPTED?

    Please be reassured that if you have entered in the wrong email address by mistake then your tickets are still reserved for you and you will receive your tickets! If we have not already handled this for you then please email tickets@ultrasouthafrica.com with these queries for further assistance.

    WHAT IS THE TICKET CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY?

    Select the ‘forgotten password’ option when trying to login to purchase your tickets, enter your email address and an email will be sent to you with a link to change your password.
